WEDGE FORCE Matcha is a virtual instrument plugin developed by WEDGE FORCE. It enables keyboardists and MIDI artists to produce realistic, expressive electric guitar performances directly within their digital audio workstations (DAWs). Matcha emulates the sound of a professionally recorded guitar direct input (DI), allowing for the creation of authentic guitar tones without the need for a physical guitar.
Key Features:
-
Synthetic Force Engine: Matcha utilizes WEDGE FORCE's proprietary engine that combines pre-sampled waveforms from iconic custom-made guitars with real-time synthesized sounds. This approach captures the nuances of live guitar performances, including harmonic resonances and dynamic articulations.
-
Expressive Articulations: Supports a range of guitar techniques, such as pitch bends, slides, palm muting, and pinch harmonics. The mod wheel can be used to blend pinch harmonics into the main tone, adding expressiveness to solos and riffs.
-
Neck Position Mapping: Allows selection of different neck positions across all six strings, providing tonal variations for identical notes played on different frets.
-
AI-Powered Picking Simulation: Matcha uses AI to predict the correct picking direction (up or down) based on the tempo of playing, neck position, and velocity of the previously played notes, selecting different samples for dynamic and realistic sounds.
-
Real-Time Note Detune: Introduces slight pitch variations to add realism to the performance.
-
No Built-In Effects: Matcha is designed to produce a clean DI guitar sound, intended to be processed with external effects such as amp simulators, pedals, and other plugins. This allows users to customize their guitar tones extensively.
- System Requirements:
-
Operating Systems: Compatible with macOS and Windows platforms.
-
Plugin Formats: Supports AAX Native, AU, VST2, and VST3 formats.
